SARAKINIKO COTTAGE

  We had a wonderful holiday at Sarakiniko Cottage and found it had everything we needed for our 12 day stay.
The pool was perfect for our two children aged 12... read more and 8 and the small beach nearby was great for snorkelling or just a swim in the sea.
We met Babis on a couple of occasions and he was extremely friendly and keen to help with anything he could. However, we had no need to contact him as everything we needed for our stay was already in place!There are a couple of lovely Tavernas less than five minutes away and a small supermarket within walking distance with friendly and helpful staff.
As we had been to the island before we decided not to hire a car but did hire a boat for the day and explored the coastline, stopping off at a number of lovely beaches only accessible by boat. We also took a day cruise to Ithaca which was beautiful and well worth a trip.
We loved our stay at Sarakinko Cottage, would definitely recommend and would love to return in the future.

  We stayed at Sarakiniko Cottage in June. It was really great in a lovely location away from the tourist hustle and bustle. Babis has put in lots of little touches... read more (like pool towels; a great radio and a coffee maker) and the cottage is really comfortable.

We loved having the pool for a quick dip after a day out exploring. Poros was lovely and there are restaurants and a couple of bars/cafes and a supermarket in Poros port just down the hill.

The hanging chair was a lovely way to while away an hour with a good book, and the outside space was great (really appreciated the outside shower too).

We'd highly recommend Valsamis Cruises on Captain Yannis's boat in the port . We went to Ithaca and Zante with him and had a great time.

One thing to mention is that the secret path to the beach that other people have talked about is not for the faint hearted. If you aren't pretty fit and agile, it is dangerous. We made it down once, but we didn't go back even though the beach was nice.

Babis (the host) was very friendly, he was also easy to get hold of if we needed something or had a question that needed answering. Would definitely come back and the location is perfect to use as a base if you have a car! You are only 5 minutes from a private beach! You can find nice beaches on the way to Skala. Small, but beautiful!

Maison familiale de vacances, terasses, piscine, vue sur mer, salle de bain presque neuve avec grande douche à l’italienne, cuisine pratique, barbecue,... read more petite buanderie à part, climatisation dans les 2 chambres et le salon, lumineux, très très joliment meublé et décoré et petite plage quasi privée à 3mns, une des plus belles que nous ayons vues en Méditerranée.
Idéal ! et un hôte très attentionné qui s’est deplacé pour nous à minuit ! qui prévoit de l’eau à l’arrivée, une petite bouteille de vin local, du café, et même un peu de liquide pour la machine à laver.
Jamais nous avions vu ça auparavant, et pour ce prix!! 7 étoiles :))))

  Lovely cottage, absolutely as described. Everything was very clean & perfect location with fabulous views, sunrise is something special . Little cove 5 minutes away is beautiful.
5 minute walk... read more to harbour & another 10 minutes to the town although it is hilly.
Babis replied to questions very quickly.
I would totally recommend this property.

There were a couple of things missing which the owners helped us with quickly. They were very helpful! Thanks for a wonderful time!
